Description

This beautiful late Victorian / early Edwardian, solid 9 carat gold bracelet is set with nine wonderful genuine natural moonstone cabochons - delicately graduating to its solid gold box link chain with square tube snap fastener and gold safety chain. The stones are well matched with strong blue-silver adularescence or stunning watery transparency depending on prevailing light and are all eye clean, with one or two natural inclusions just visible under magnification - proving their natural origin.
It dates from around 1910 and is in good, wearable condition, with one or two old repairs visible under inspection, to the connections between the stones' links. It weighs 5.8 grams and the largest moonstone measures 11 x 7 mm. It measures 6.5” wearable length but is easily extended by having a jeweller add links or connecting rings. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coin for scale, which measures 19 mm / ¾ of an inch diameter.
