Today we are excited to offer for sale an exquisite 1920's-1930's Art Deco-era Kralik Czechoslovakian glass powder jar! The light peach background is splashed with a vivid shade of royal blue and over the background a brown/yellow twisted band swirl starts at the bottom and finishes at the top of the lid right below the leaf pull finial. This piece is pulsating with life and movement. In very good vintage condition, with very minor wear. There are two minor and a few scattered very tiny flea bit chips on the edge of the rim/; there are a few scattered flea bite chips on the rim of the bowl; one very old and small repair to tip of finial on lid. Fresh to the market, this is a piece not to be missed! Dimensions: approximately 5 3/8" in height, and 4 3/4" in diameter

Today we are excited to offer for sale an exquisite 1920's-1930's Art Deco-era Kralik Czechoslovakian glass powder jar! This piece is just stunning. The light peach background is splashed with a vivid shade of royal blue and over the background a brown/yellow twisted band swirl that starts at the bottom and finishes at the top of the lid right below the leaf pull finial. This piece is pulsating with life and movement. The art deco design evokes the ocean and sea life. This elegant and stylish piece was used to store cosmetic face powder. Acid stamped/signed on the bottom "Czechoslovakia". In very good vintage condition, with very minor wear. There are two minor and a few scattered very tiny flea bit chips on the edge of the rim/; there are a few scattered flea bite chips on the rim of the bowl; one very old and small repair to tip of finial on lid. Classic and timeless, this piece has been meticulously cared for and proudly displayed and is ready to be enjoyed and used! A little bit of info about Kralik glass, from 20thCenturyGlass:
"The Kralik glassworks, full name Wilhelm Kralik Sohne, was originally founded by Josef Meyr in 1815, in Bohemia. The factory was originally called Adolfshutte. When Josef died, his son Jan took over the company. By this time, the company owned 4 glass factories. Jan died in 1841, and his two nephews Josef Taschek and Wilhelm Kralik became the owners. The company name was changed to J. Meyr's Neffen, and when Josef died in 1862, the name changed to J. Meyr's Neffe. Wilhelm Kralik died in 1877, and left the company to his 4 sons. The company was split in two - Heinrich + Johann took the name Wilhelm Kralik Sohne, Hugo + Karl used the name Meyr's Neffe. Meyr's Neffe merged with Moser in 1922. Wilhelm Kralik Sohne continued to produce glassware until World War II."
